• This house includes an optional screen porch on the west and an ofuro room on the east. An ofuro is a Japanese hot tub, typically made of cedar.

• The roof structure of the Queen Truss House (Q.T.H.) has eight queen trusses, spaced eight feet on center. The trusses form a basic rectangular plan twenty-four feet wide by seventy-two feet long. (1,728 S.F.)

• All the rooms have south-facing windows and sliding glass doors. The Queen Truss House has three bedrooms with with a generous kitchen/dining/living area. There are two lofts, one accessible from the public area, as well as a private loft accessible from the main bedroom.

• The shell is super-insulated and has a corridor along the entire north side for added insulation.

• The house is passive solar with most of its glass facing directly south and a large array of photovoltaic panels on the standing seam roof.

• There are currently two layouts for the kitchen/dining/living area. One with the kitchen on the inside wall as shown in option A (see model), and one with the kitchen on the outside wall (option B).

• Construction drawings and specification can be available approximately four weeks after requested.
