Ecoville
A proposed new town of 4,000 people. It is designed for a large parcel of land owned by an electric utility company on which they planned to build a nuclear power plant. I met with my students at the site on many occasions in peaceful demonstrations against their proposal. It is a totally pedestrian community, with the exception of non-polluting electric cars used to transport people and goods. NSC has a west and east terminal where all cars and trucks are parked. The tallest structures are ten stories high. Housing is a 3-D structural grid in which dwellings are infilled.
